We have been chopping bags for a while now and there has been a large demand of people wanting to ship their bags to us for this fairly easy job. We wanted to come up with a way for your average Joe to chop his own bags in a home garage with common tools that most people have. 
 
This kit comes with a wooden jig that snaps together and 2 precut ABS plastic filler pieces. It takes all the guess work out of the job. Once the bags have been marked and cut using our wooden jig, you can attach the plastic filler panel however you like. We recommend a plastic welder or a strong 2 part epoxy. (Read the Instructions for more information and links to recomended epoxys)
 
Choosing Bag Type - Harley switched from fiberglass bags to ABS plastic saddlebags about mid 2000. Finding the exact models and dates is difficult but a clear way to tell is fiberglass bags are gray or a tanish yellow on the inside and ABS plastic bags are black.
 
Choosing Size - The "Perfect fit" bag fillers are axactly what it sounds like. They fit perfectly, but your cut  must also be perfect. We recomend leaving the line when cutting and sanding up to it until your filler piece fits perfect. If you are not very confident in your cutting skills we recomend selecting "Oversize". This gives you some wiggle room if your cut is less than ideal. Then simply sand the plastic filler until your happy with the fit.
 
**This kit is designed to work with factory Harley Davidson saddle bags. It does not work with extended bags that are formed around pipes, aftermarket bags, or new style bags 2014+
